Hello!
Welcome to my online portfolio.

My name is Elizabeth Harvey, and I am a luxury travel and lifestyle writer based in New York City. I am also an editor and a hobby photographer, with deep experience in digital marketing, copywriting and brand strategy.

I can write and edit for a variety of platforms and products, including newsletters and social media. I bring an integrated approach to storytelling, with an eye for design and a dynamic understanding of the customer journey.

My personal and professional travels have ranged all over the globe in search of authentic connections with other cultures, great food and drink, awe-inspiring landscapes, thought-provoking conversations with new friends and meaningful insights. Recent scouting trips have taken me to Kenya, Israel, Australia, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Mexico, Senegal and Saudi Arabia. When I’m not on the road, I love discovering new hotels, restaurants, bars, exhibitions and hidden gems in my ever-intriguing hometown of New York City—and I spend time disconnecting (and reconnecting) on my family’s farm in Branchburg, New Jersey.

In my role as Senior Editor for Indagare, I regularly contribute, assign and edit SEO-driven and long-form travel articles, hotel and restaurant reviews, and destination guides to Indagare's website and print magazine. I also assist with planning and managing the annual content calendar. In my former role as Branded Content Manager, I oversaw the production of brand and sales assets and drove content marketing strategy for Indagare's Insider Journeys group trips and select partnerships. For several years, I created and deployed Indagare's weekly editorial newsletters and targeted email marketing campaigns. I continue to contribute to customer journey, brand and business development initiatives, and I often provide support for creative requests and events.

Prior to joining the Indagare team in 2017, I graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish. I also completed a graduate certificate program in publishing within the Columbia School of Journalism (the Columbia Publishing Course). During my school years (at Georgetown and in high school at Convent of the Sacred Heart 91st Street), I spent semesters living in Madrid, Barcelona, and Florence, and I have developed proficiency in Spanish. (My Italian is elementary, though I’m well-versed in menu translations.) I also interned for such e-commerce startups as Soko and publications like Washington Life magazine.

I’ve been passionate about storytelling and communicating for as long as I’ve been able to write. (I recall launching The Harvey Daily in the early 2000s to cover breaking news and topics of interest in my household; it was produced using Microsoft Word and had a circulation of four readers, and the activities of my cats was a recurring feature.) This early fascination intersected with early exposure to travel to set me on my path. Seven years into my professional career, I continue to be driven by the desire to see the many faces of the world, in search of beauty and truth—with the hope of capturing at least some of it to share with others.

I hope you enjoy exploring my work—and I’d love to hear from you. You can contact me here with any inquiries, pitches or suggestions. You can also find me below on LinkedIn and Instagram.
